Our Baseball Star!

Yes, we are working on creating a baseball super star! J/K
Peter did enjoy hitting the ball with Uncle Ray though.

Trampoline fun with Grandma!

The kids loved being able to jump on the trampoline. And having Grandma join them made it even more fun!

Weston & William

We were so excited to finally meet Ray and Molly's "little" boy William. I worked hard to become buds with both their boys. I think William and I eventually connected, but Weston never was quite sure what he thought of me! =)
Weston
Are they not two of the cutest little boys?

A Lego Lesson from a Pro!

Peter was so excited to be able to play legos with Uncle Kendall. I had told Peter how good Kendall was at building things and it didn't take long for him to decide Uncle Kendall was the ultimate lego pro (sorry dad!=)

Leap Frog!

Coral had fun playing leap frog with Uncle Kendall and Uncle Kyle while in New York.

Going to New York!

Both the kids were very excited to be able to have their own backpacks with wheels to pull in the airports. Of course by the time I was able to take a picture (after racing to get on planes etc.) Peter was not in a cooperating mood! But..here is Coral pulling her backpack!

Love the hat!

Coral decided she wanted to wear a hat to school today. I thought she looked too adorable with it not to grab the camera.

I just loved this profile shot I got while she was watching tv.

Coral's Videos!

Coral had fun playing with my camera today taking videos of herself. Here are a few of them. They are all pretty short and pretty funny! =)

Like Father, Like Son!

Peter just adores his dad! Sometimes we will catch him mimicking what Ryan does. In these pictures Peter was trying to lay on the floor the same way his dad was (lying on his side, resting on his arm) while they were playing legos together.

A Happy Little Working Song!

I caught Peter singing while cleaning his room a few weeks ago. I set the camera on the banister outside his room so he wouldn't know I was recording him. The quality of the video didn't turn out very good, but it's still fun to watch/hear him sing while cleaning. Notice his cleaning technique too. I think most of it ended up on his bed. But, I'm easily pleased, it makes me feel better just to have the floor clean and that he did it without me getting after him. =)

Our Creative Boy!

The other day Peter decided he wanted to make a Peter Pan costume. The first thing he figured he would need was a hat, which had to be green of course. Not finding any green paper, he started coloring a piece of paper green! =) Fortunately we found a piece and I made him a hat. Then he needed the red feather in the hat, which I made but you can't see in this picture. Finally he thought we could make the clothes out of green paper too! I convinced him that he could just wear all green clothes. So here is our very own "Peter Pan!"

This one's my personal favorite. Peter asked me this morning if we had a jet pack like astronauts wear. I told him we didn't not. With in a minute he had pulled a big plastic pitcher out of the cupboard and said, "Yes, we do. See?!", as he held it to his back. All we had to do now was "tape" it to his back (tape is always his solution)! =) Well, I tied it on as best I could and he immediately went to jump, I mean, blast off, of the couch!

I asked him to do an astronaut pose and this is what he came up with. Pretty good impression of using a jet pack I would say. What a creative kid!

Singing While Playing!

For some reason Coral and Peter were singing everything they were saying while they were playing together.

It's fun to hear their different voices, Coral's high sweet voice and Peter's low boy voice! =)

Peter eventually got tired of singing everything he wanted to say, as you can see in this next video!

Rocket Balloons!

I had bought the kids some Rocket Balloons from the dollar spot at Target, unfortunately unlike most rocket balloon packs, these didn't come with a pump. And boy were they hard to blow up, I couldn't even do it. But Ryan, with his super lungs, could and then after the balloons had been stretched a little the kids could do it themselves. I thought it was pretty funny watching them blow them up.

How Many Kids Do You Want?

This was a conversation Coral had with her Aunt Jaclyn the other day.
Jaclyn (who is expecting a baby): "Coral, how many kids do you want?"

Coral: "I want 20 sisters and 20 brothers. And we'd all be crowded in the house, ha ha!"

Mom: "But, how many kids do YOU want?"

Coral: "Hmmm....2 girls and 2 boys! Because we'd all be crowded and they'd be saying 'wahhhh'!"
How funny is that?! If they're sisters and brothers, that mom will take care of, then 40! But, if they're for her to take care of..4! =)

Who Knew Throwing Rocks Could Be So Fun!

Peter and his cousins, Dallin & Jeffery, found great fun in throwing rocks at a tree. And Laura and I had almost as much fun watching them.

Camping!

We went camping this weekend with the Waite family and Chad's family. We were at a beautiful spot on the Mongolian Rim above Payson Arizona. We stayed over Friday and Saturday night. We had a wonderful time. Coral said her favorite parts were sleeping in the tent and waking up to see the beautiful mornings. And playing with Sally and roasting marshmallows and ..... =) Peter said his favorite part was "hunting" with Spencer & Matthew (Ryan's cousins). Here are some pictures from our weekend fun.

Buzz Lightyear!

Peter was very excited to find these Buzz Lightyear pj's in Coral's drawer and realize they fit! He wore them all day!

Then he had to have wings to go with it!

Today wearing his Power Ranger pj's (that he also found in Coral's drawer) he came up with this gun contraption. He is so creative. I helped him put it together, but he came up with the design.
Peter's Buzz Lightyear Drawing! Pretty good, eh?!

Saturday Morning Adventure!

Last saturday Ryan was in the mood to shoot his 22 gauge rifle. Having failed to round up a buddy to go with him, it became a family event. We drove 45 minutes to get to a portion of desert that we could shoot in. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but Coral had a notebook and pen with her and had decided to document our trip. Below are her "journal" entries of our trip.

( "word" world. It's a cartoon they watched on the way.)

(even Peter shooted two time)

(Even I found cool rocks and its white)

Coral's First Day of School!

"Hello Friends. This is my first day of school. It was fun alot and so much I love it and I want it to be again. I want it to be night right now. I brought some homework home and it was easy. Easy-deasy! =) And I learned lots of stuff too. I even learned a shape song!"

Coral's new school outfit.

What a beautiful kindergartener.

Leaving for school with her folder (they aren't to bring backpacks.)

Waiting for class with some of her friends from Joy School.

Playing "sandcastles" with her friend Emma while waiting for school to start.

Blowing kisses while waiting in line to go into class.

Picking up her folder and heading into class!

Now, first day of school from a mom's perspective! =) I have been very excited for Coral because I knew how much she would love it. I tried hard not to think about the sending my sweet little girl off to school for the first time part. After all it's only for 3 hours right?! Course all that went out the window as I drove her to school. I had a pit in my stomach. I'm sure I was more nervous than she was. Then as I watched her line up and go into her class....without me....I'll admit I got tears in my eyes. The next 3 hours took FOREVER!! =) It's not so bad really, but it's just down hill from here. Next year she'll be in first grade and gone all day and then she'll be in 2nd, then before you know it 12th and then she'll be all grown up! =) Enjoy the journey, enjoy the journey! =)
