Coral's Day.

I made some things for dad's family home teaching families. I read books with Peter. I went to the store. I played the lego game (Playstation 2 Star War Lego game). I went over to Grandma's (Grandma Becca) and played on the computer.

Coral's Remarks

"And I made up this word..Kidnado!" Giggle Giggle

Quotes of the Month!

I've been jotting down some of the funny things our kids have said lately. Here are some of our favorites for the month of July!

"Kidnado" - Coral's response to what happened to her messy room.

"I like to play with her hair." - The reason Peter gave for why he loves me.

"Red sea?... I thought it was blue?!" - What Peter exclaimed while reading a verse about the "red sea" during family scripture study.

"A Farm." - What Coral is saving her money for.

The Story Behind the Name!

A few weeks ago, Coral was cleaning her room when Ryan walked in and exclaimed, "A tornado must have come in here."

Without missing a beat Coral replied, "Maybe it was a kidnado!" =)

What a great word! And brilliant child, if I may say so myself! And I decided it would work well for our blog name. Coral and Peter liven our home with a whirlwind of fun and love. We feel truly blessed to have them in our lives.

Child Labor?!

Ryan let Coral and Peter earn some money by cleaning Phoenix Flood's airmovers. He paid them $1 per dryer. They were both hard workers. Peter earned $4 and Coral earned $6. As soon as they finished, they were ready to go shopping! =)

Fishing Trip!

Last night at dinner, Peter informed us that it was time to take a fishing trip. He wanted to go "right now" and he was "serious!" =) So today we took a family "fishing trip" to an urban lake in Gilbert. Not our ideal fishing trip but, the kids still loved it. Coral spent almost the entire time feeding the ducks and Peter caught the only fish of the morning, YEAH!

Coral loved feeding the ducks but, thought it wise to keep a safe distance from them.

Our Knight In "Shining" Armor!

Peter came to me today and asked if we could make this knight costume that Franklin is wearing in this book. I replied I didn't think we had the things to make it. After looking the picture over, he replied "Yes, we do. See it's made of paper." Sure enough the picture showed the leftover scrap paper Franklin used to cut out his helmet. What a smart kid.

Here is our recreation of Franklin's costume (no laughing, I tried!) Peter was happy with it and even wore it over to Grandma Becca's house.

The Perfect Pet!

Coral and Peter have been finding tiny black beetles around our house and have decided they would make a great pet! Each time they find one they place it in a canning jar. Now don't laugh their serious about these pet, there has even been some fights over them: "Peter has one and I don't"...."Coral has a fast one and mine is slow!" =) I thought it was great, the bugs would only last about a day in the canning jar (we never could figure out what they would eat) and then the kids would sweep the house for more of them. My only question was "why did we buy a dog?!"
